Gingerbread Fun

You have arrived on the 8th stop of the There's Magic In The Air Recipe Blog Hop.

The designer Nina asked me to use the image Gingerbread Fun. I started out by stamping the swirl from Stamping Up's set Baroque Motifs with Versa Mark and embossed it with gold powder. After I sized my image and printed it out I colored it in using KOH-I-NOOR pencils and OMS and topped the candy with Stickles. Cut both the circle and the scalloped circle out with Nestablities. Attached them to my card and added the ribbon and bow to give it the look of an ornament.

Here is one of my favorite Christmas recipes:

Gingerbread:

2 cups flour
2 tsp.baking powder
2 tsp ginger
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp salt
1/3 c shortening or margarine
1/2 c sugar
1 egg
2/3 c molasses
3/4 c buttermilk

Sift dry ingredients. Beat butter and sugar. Add egg and molasses. Then add flour alternately with milk. Bake at 350 degrees for 50 minutes.

Now for my secret word:
IS

If you arrived on my blog first, you need to go to the beginning of this blog hop HERE to get all the directions and collect all the clues. If you arrived from Selma's blog then you are on the right path. Remember to leave a comment on my blog then your next stop now is to go over to
Leigh Anne's blog to see another card/project, find a new recipe, and collect the next clue.
Thanks so much for playing along and hope you enjoy all the yummy recipes you have collected so far!
