I Thank God

Good morning...........Today is usually the day that we Crafters of Faith post our latest challenge card. Well Jackie, who is our hostess this month needs some love. She has suffered some personal heartaches and hasn't been able to check in a lot. We love her and just really didn't want to post our February creations without her. So, until she is able, we will postpone our February challenge.....
it's gonna be a gorgeous day in VA!. Took the boys out this morning and it's almost warm!!!! Any woo...
If you are looking for Heartfelt's Blog Hop it's here. The inspration for my card today comes from here. Her card is so gorgeous so I tried, I used SU card stock, Heartfelt's 3363 In spire me and 2253 Flourish Background, (which I tried linking back for you, they may have stopped this one, that's why we need to get em while they last). I also used one of SU border punches and Kassie's brocade embossing folder. Added pearl swirls and buttons not to mention I did some sewing on this card!!!! Okay this is short and sweet but gotta shower and get to work, Bill just said it's suppose to rain today so maybe it's not gonna be as gorgeous as I thought LOL. Have a blessed day and I'll catch up with ya later.

Well, it's the last Tuesday of the month so today is the beginning of the Heartfelt Creations Alumni Design Team's monthly Blog Hop. This month the participating Design Team members are:
Olga ( that's me)
Selma
Carla
Marsha
Clare
Linda
One of our blogs will be randomly chosen and from all those that commented on that blog, the winner will be again, randomly chosen. Blog Hop will remain open for comments on everyone's blog through midnight Friday night March 2. The winner will be posted here (and on the member's blogs who are able to post) by noon on Sat March 3rd.
Winner receives a $25 gift certificate to shop at Heartfelt Creations!

On to my card, I made a 5X7, cut the next layer (white) .25 smaller all the way around, then embossed it using Cuttlebug's Kassie's Brocade. I then took a piece of black (1/2 inch smaller) and stamped HCPC3302 Lilacs/Posy Bouquet in silver and heat embossed it. I used Prismacolor Water color pencils, and colored the flowers in. I then put it on my Scor-pal and scored around the sides .25 and 1/2 all the way around. I used HCPC3301 Hydrangea/Posy Branch for the sentiment and attached it with 3D dots. I love the way it turned out and hope you do too. That's it for now, have a Blessed day and we'll catch up later!

Challenges

Howdy, here is my take on Cheery Lynn's and Joan's challenge this week. She ask us to
Create a card with lots of layers, both sites (check)
Color theme should be Pink and White
(check)
Add some dimensional flowers.
(check)
Use a rectangle and an oval layer (check).

I did all the requirments so lets pray my card is picked this week!!!! I used stampin Up card stock, Kassie's Brocade embossing folder, cheery Lynn's Fanciful flourish, store bought flwoers, Spellbinders Fleur de Lis Rectangles, and Lables Twenty. The sentment is an older stamp I had from Judith??? That is all it has on the side of the stamp. That's it for now, have a blessed day!!!

Rose's Challenge

Morning, it's time for another challenge for the Roses'. There are 8 of us, we met here on line (StampTV), became friends and formed this little group. If you go up at the top of my page and click on Roses' it will tell you who and the links. This month I think it was Kerrie, we are to make a birthday card.......I made a card for one and a tag for another friend. I love the card, it was so easy, I stamped HF HCPC3307 Jean Pocket/Ball Can twice, once on the blue that I had embossed with Kassie's brocade, then again and cut that one out. Using 3D dots, attached on top of the first one and was able to put the Subway gift card in. Oh yeah, yesterday at weigh in, I have lost a total of 15.6, last weeks was .8.24.6 to go to get back to goal weight!!! I love subway, last night, I fixed a pot of Chili beans, measured them out per serving, 7.5 pts each, kept 2 out and froze the rest, also made a meat loaf using the large muffin pan, 6 servings, 3 pts each, we had one a piece for supper and the other 4 will be sandwiches this week. I measure out about every thing and weigh it, chips, pretzles, you name it, keeps us straight LOL. Well did I get away from my post or what???? Okay, that's it for now, coffee is ready and I'm ready for it. Be sure to visit the reat of the Roses. God Bless and have a wonderful day!!!

Brighten Your Day

Good morning, again, I did not want to get up. But as Mama use to say, "Your want's won't hurt ya. I saw how to do this the other day on Pinterest and thougth I repinned it but..........anyway, I cut out a shape, (heart), laid it down and ramdonly stamped different stampes all around the shape. Then using a Qtip, I sponged around the heart, removed it, placed the negative down, splonged the red inside , then stamped the sentiment. I love how it looks almost 3D and it's just one layer. Well it was until I put the red card stock behind it LOL. All the stampes I used are from Stampin Up and the sentiment is from Inkadinkado, I have had all these for years. Thats it for now, it's off to the shower and then on to work. I'll be back to comment in a few, God Bless and have a wonderful day!

Anyway, here is another card I made, this one I made yesterday. I love how it turned out, 5.5 X 5.5. each layer is .25 smaller. I also used Kassie's Brocade embossing folder, Standard Circle and Floral Doily Motifs by Spellbinder and Heartfelts 3385 Spring Birdies and Roses. I colored with prisma color pencils, added the pearl swirl, ribbon, and flowers. Oh yeah the twigs I punched out with Martha Stewarts punch. That's it, maybe a shower and a cup of coffee will wake me up, I'll comment on your gorgeous creations in a few..........until then, God Bless and have a good one!

River in the Spring

Morning all! Happy Valentines Day!!! Thought I'd post one I made a few weeks ago and never got around to posting. I'm still not in a crafting mood so HELP!!!!!!! It's 5X7, the yellow and green is Stampin Up, I used Martha Stewart around the page punches Modern Garland. Then I used a piece of Glossy paper and stamped the Autumn Bank by Stampscapes, then I stamped it on the Mirror image stamp I have and then eye balling it, stamped it on the glossy next to the one I had already stamped. I like the way it looks, kinda like it turns instead of ends. Then I used Stampin Up markers and colored in where I wanted, sponged the sky and water, rounded the corners and attached to the main card. I like all the colors in the flowers and bushes around the river, never seen any thing like it in real life, but on paper you can see almost anything. Thanks for dropping by, hope you like it. Have a wonderful blessed day and smile, God loves ya!!!!

Winter Scene

Good morning and welcome to my first post as a Design Team Member for the new site Craft A Scene. Isn't it exciting.......well it is for me. We do hope you will play along this month, the challenge is to create a Winter Scene. I used an Impression Obsession stamp , sorry the name isn't on the stamp. I did stamp it on glossy paper to shake things up for me. So this is totally different than what I am used to. I love how it turned out. Then over to the side I used Stampscapes stamp tree Cluster small and an Oak tree. I lightly colored in parts of the barn, house, and the mail box post using Stampin Up markers. Then added just a little amount of glue here and there and sprinkled glitter to give it the look of snow. After every thing was like I wanted and dry, I attached it to the black piece I had punched aroung the page using Martha Stewart's Vintage Floral punch. Then attached that to the 5X7 card base. I'm sorry this is so short, but I am still at Moyock, it's just a few miles out of VA Beach. We came here for the weekend and to see my wonderful brother and his amazing wife!!! We are leaving today to return home so every thing will be back to normal tomorrow with me commenting and all. God bless you all and rmemeber to smile, God loves ya!!!

It's my Birthday!!!!!

If you are looking for Heartfelt Creations Blog Hop check here.

I'm not really here, LOL, we have taken a small weekend trip and I have this preposted or autopost what ever ya call it. This card is one I made from a negative piece of card stock I had after making another card, I saw over on Cheery Lynn's blog where some one had done this and I thought of all the times I just tossed it, so I made one. I already had the green punched out, so I used that, the flowers I made a few weeks ago so added those, all I had to do was stamp the words in, I got these stamps from my last years secret pal Susan. I love them and use em a lot in scrapbooking.

This second card is one I did after watching Dina Kowal's tutorial called Word Card. You can get the instructions here. It was super easy so give it a try!!!! That's it, I'll be around to comment on your blogs after Sunday when we return home, yall have a blessed day and remembersmile, God loves ya!!!
