Sunday with the Roses

Good Morning all!!! Are ya ready for another Sunday with the roses. Betty is our host this month and ask we use ribbon on our card/project.So here is what I came up with. I may have messed up, did I use lace or ribbon, or is there a difference in card making????? anywho....First I cut and got my card base ready, it's 5X7.Then I took the scraps and punched with the Doily Lace punch and attached to the side. On top of that I added the ribbon. Then I cut out the HCD 710 Decorative Oval Window, then the Kaleidoscope and layered those to the base. Then I stamped my sentiment from HCPC3311 Hope in the Lord and cut that out using Lables Twenty and attached that as well. I was gonna stop there but decided it needed more, so I stamped and cut out the leaves using HCPC3405 Leaf Medley and the Foliage Die. Stamped and cut out the flowers from HCPC3407 Botanical Floral 2 and Rose Creations Die, shaped and added along with a black pearl in the center to finish it off. don't forget to check out the rest of the Roses, you can find the list at the top of my blog under Roses...........Until then have a blessed day.

Merry Christmas

I am trying to tone down some of my cards, I do get carried away at times, I love lots of layers and cuts, glitter, you know. But if you have to make and send several you need some not so thick so they will mail easier. I like how this one turned out but man it's still kinda thick LOL. All I did was card stock, ribbon and one stamp set HCPC2291 Regal Poinsettia. One of the ribbons has Merry Christmas on it so I didn't have to stamp the sentiment, that was easy!! I love this stamp set ( it's another one I didn't have so I picked it up while in Charlotte, I do love flowers and poinsettia's is one of my favorites. Okay, I'm off to the shower then on to work, yall have a blessed day and I'll catch up with ya later!!!!

Merry Christmas

Hello, it's Sat and I'm playing. To be honest with you, it's took me all day to make this card, first one thing then another pops up, but at least it' s finished and I'm posting it! I am also entering it in a challenge at Sweet Stamping. This week their challenge is to make a card with a flower on it with a optional sketch, so here is my take on it. I used Eyelet Lace punch, Kassie's Brocade embossing folder, Heartfelt Creations HCPC3415 Petite Poinsettia; HCPC3303 Posy Patch Flowers; HCPC3417 Poinsettia Ornament; HCPC3349 Cardinal Holiday Mailbox; HCD701 Posy Die; the ornament and poinsettia also coordinates with Heirloom Ornaments and Layered Poinsettias from Spellbinder. I have mine ordered and waiting............I stamped the ornament and flowers on the double sided Sticky Paper that I applied glitter to, colored it in then cut out, shaped and attached to the card. I also punched out some twigs and placed behind the flowers. Okay, that's it for now, got to run to town and then finish the laundry, you know all those things that keep interfering with us playing LOL.

Nature Laughs

Hello, hope all is well in your part of this big ole world....... Here is a card I made Sat. yes even with 2 small puppies I stamp. I'd go crazy if I couldn't stamp, it relaxes me, it's my place I go when the world gets to me or I get stressed. I thank God for stamping LOL. I used none other than Heartfelt Creations stamps. These are HCPC3334 Open Falling Leaves, HCPC3331 All Seasons Tree, HCPC3318 Daisy Patch Flowers and HCD703 Daisy Patch Die and HCD707 Falling Leaves Die. I used the idea from Selma's blog this week only I used sponges and sponged several colors on a piece of white card stock, then stamped the leaves and cut them out. After all was cut out I shaped them and attached to a piece of designer paper that I had punched the sides with Deco Shells punch by Martha Stewart. After getting as many leaves as I wanted, I stamped and cut out the daisies. Attached and added a black pearl to the center of each. Last but not least I stamped my sentiment and attached to finish the card. I love the way this turned out, thanks for the idea Selam!!! Thinking of You

Morning!! The boys are keeping me busy but we are loving it!!!! What one does the other tries, what one has the other wants, just like kids.............
here is a card I made last night, I love how it turned out, a few ladies at the CKC show told me they would like to see more simple cards, that the others were gorgeous and all but they weren't able to do all that stuff, I hope this is one they would like to try!
I used paper from 7 Gypsies conservatory, I got 3 packs at the show and love it!!!!! I also picked up some ribbon that you see along with pearls! The image is Hearfelt Creations HCPC3371 Dutch Iris Oval that I colored with Stampin Up Markers. I cut the oval out with Labels 10 then embossed it with Kassie's Brocade folder. The white under the ribbon is a Martha Stewart punch Eyelet Lace. That's pretty much it. We have a flea market/gun show going on in town, no I am NOT going, way to many people for me, now if they had stamping stuff maybe, but they don't............so I plan on stamping and creating all weekend, minus a few hours for the boys hehe. have a wonderful weekend and I'll catch up with ya later.
