Remembering

Good Morning and Happy Memorial Day. Lets not forget all who gave the most for us so we could have freedom. Bill's Mom and sister's came down yesterday and I cooked and we ate, then ate some more, and man let me tell ya, that Coconut cake I got at Yoder's was so gooooooooood!!!!! Forgot all about weight watchers LOL. But back to it today....Here is a card I made the other day for Michelle, with the lost of Fancy Lou, (that's what I called her) I thought I would send her a card, today is also Michelle's ig 40th birthday. I need to call her today but it's early and I'm afraid I'd wake her up, although she is probably up already don't wanta take the chance. I forgot to mail her a birthday card and tried giving her one Sat while she was here and she wouldn't take it, said she wanted it mailed even if it was late, that girl!!!!!
Any who, this card is also for the sketch challenge over at Our Daily Bread, I loved the sketch so had to play, I also used Heartfelt Creations HCPC3377 Sympathy Sentiment and Spellbinders Parisian Accents Dies. That's it.
Who watched the race last night, it was so exciting there at the end, Jr. #88 took the lead, I'm up out of my seat, yelling Go Jr. go, then about 500 feet from the finish line.........he ran out of gas. Bummer!!!! But he'll win this year, not giving up on him, he is 4th in the points so look out!!!!! Okay I'm gone, yall have a great day and I'll dropped in on ya in a little bit.

Sunday Roses' Challenge

Good Morning!!! Hope everyone is well and happy!!! It's time for another Roses' challenge. This month it was up to Kym to come up with a wonderful idea!!!! Make a tissue box. I am so so sorry, she sent me the site to get the how to's and I must of deleted it before saving it for you all. Shoot me......... but I'm thinking it was from SCS. Anyway, I also used Heartfelt Creations HCPC3303 Posy Patch Flowers and HCD701 Matching Die, HCPC3390 Bella Rose Leaves and matching HCD712 Bella Rose Die. The sentiment is from HCPC3319 Simple Filler Stems. Other items were Scalloped Oval and Oval from Spellbinder. Now won't this look cute on someones desk???? (Mine). I love it so I'm keeping this for myself! Thanks Kym for such a fantastic challenge. Don't forget to check out the other Roses' to see what they came up with. At the top of my blog you will see the Tab listed Roses, that will give you the names and links. That's it for now......Got lots of yard work done yesterday plus pressure washed the back porch and all the furniture, hopefully tomorrow I will get the front done. In warm weather there is so much work to do LOL. I plan on stamping and playing today so guess I'll post some thing new in the morning. Glad to see blogger is working again, knock on wood.......yall have a wonderful day and I'll catch up later.

All Things Are Possible

Well It's almost 3 AM and look who can't sleep. So thought I would post a card. I'm sorry I didn't get around to everyone's blog yesterday, will try and catch up, I go the house work and shopping done, a little yard work, and just ran out of steam....
This is a 5 X 7 card, I have cut the center out with a oval nestie and stamped the sentiment on the inside of the card. On the outside I cut the scalloped oval out making a frame to place over the oval. Then I stamped and cut out the leaves and flowers attaching them to the card. I applied a small amount of Stickles to the center of the flowers. That's it for now, I may try laying back down to see if I can sleep, gotta get up at 7AM and get ready for Weight Watchers LOL. Then Michelle is coming up, some of you know that she had to have her dog of 16 years put down Thursday night. It hit her pretty hard, Fancy was her baby. She has a birthday Mon., it is so hard to believe my little girl is gonna turn 40. Where has the time gone???? Okay, enough said, here is a list of items I used to make my card.

HCPC3311 Hope in the Lord
HCPC3318 Daisy Patch Flowers

Happy Mothers Day!

Thought I would share a picture and story about my Mom being it's Mothers Day.........
She was 5 foot tall and I think the most she ever weighted was 110 soaking wet, needless to say, I didn't take after her. She passed away May 12th, 1991 on Mothers Day. She had been sick for about 6 years and was in and out of hospital all that time. The doctors finally said okay, this is it, she won't go home again, but she did. On Friday my sister took her back home, then on Sunday morning Charlotte found her. She had went home to Jesus around 3 Am is what they decided. She always said she would like to be home when her time came so I'm glad she got her wish. She was an amazing lady and I was so blessed to call her Mom.
