Yellow Flower

Good afternoon...I'e had a busy weekend! Friday, cleaned house you know all the fun stuff we get to do, Sat. my daughter came up and got my veggie garden worked up and planted, plus the flower bed and she planted lots of new flowers she brought up, then she also did the weed eating, I have the best daughter in the world. Don't know what Bill & I would do without her, bless her heart. Anyway, here is a card I made today. It's a 5X5, I used the new Doily die I got "English Tea Party" and cut the yellow out. Then I used vellum, versa mark and wite powder to stamp my leaves and flowers. Green vellum Elegant Single Leaves, Pink for the HCPC3313 Perfect Petal Medley and Yellow for the HCPC3318 Daisy Patch Flower along with the matching die HCD 703. Okay most of you know I just got a new laptop. It is really taking some getting use to, it has Window 7 where my desk top has XL. Everyone says once I get use to this I will like it better, I usually like change but we'll see LOL. I totally get lost with this Photo Element 9, I am use to Roxio and what did take 3 easy steps to download a picture is now taking me 50 I just can't figure it out. Okay thats it, I was afraid to wait until the morning to post this, I might not make it to work until noon LOL. I'll catch yall later.......have a great one!!!

This is really pretty, love that doily in the background. That vellum flower is amazing, so gorgeous. I am sure you will be working that laptop in no time and you will wonder how you did without. What a wonderful daughter, that is so sweet of her to do all that, such a great feeling I am sure for all.

OH LA LA, what a gorgeous vellum flower! Fantastic card! You lucky girl having a daughter so close and able to take the time to come visit and do some wonderful things for you. Happy Mother' Day in advance she says...lol

As for the new laptop. I got one with Windows 7 last summer and it's okay but I'll take my old desk top and XP any day. Still not use to it but I only use it in the craft room now and to do Nikie's books. Hard to teach an old dog new tricks....

Hope your Sunday has been fab. "Hugs" Carol

You make me want to drag out my vellum and parchment paper to work with flowers again. This is lovely...hope you get better with your photo program...it can be so frustrating!

Have a great Monday!

Beautiful card, Olga! I love the vellum flower and the delicate doily! Good luck with the new laptop and apps. I also got a laptop with Windows 7 last year. Once I got the hang of it, I liked it better than XP. I have not upgraded to Photoshop Elements 9, though. Had enough trouble with 7!!

The doily is really cool, Olga! The flower is so light and airy with the vellum. Gorgeous! Ken was a big help this weekend, also, so I know what you mean. Have a great day!

This is just super, Olga! I dont know why my immediate thoughts were the yellow rose of Texas, lol - considering it's not even a rose and you aren't in Tx! :) It's beautiful! how sweet to hear of your veggie garden - and what a lovely daughter indeed! x0x0

Gorgeous flower and beautiful card, GF.
What a sweetie your DD is - the thought that you're planting makes me so envious.
Good luck with your windows 7. I use it at work. I have a MAC iBook at home.
Hugs.

Sounds like you had a busy and productive weekend! My parents do a decent size garden every year but with all the rain it may be summer before it's dry enough to plant! I dread the day i need a new laptop for the same reason, changes!! Very pretty card, love the vellum flower.
