18 Years Old

Remember when you were 18, top of the world, knew every thing, bless your heart, your parents just didn't know any thing! Yep, we all go through that stage in life don't we. Just to wake up one day and discover you are your parents, you are the one that doesn't know every thing (according to your kids), you are still learning something new every day, we are more thankful for what we have and not worried about what we don't. This is the only picture I have of me when I was 18, with my parents who have since went to Heaven. About 34 years ago the house where all my belongings were stored burn to the ground, I lost all my pictures. Family members gave me a few over the years so that's why I am down to this ONE. I did this page for 2 challenges, over at Soul Scrappers Mary ask we do one of when we were 18 years old, and over at Create with Bubbe to use some of your stash! The stash is the flowers and leaves, I have cut a lot out of the Heartfelt Creations stamps and dies so when I need flowers I just pick em out of the can. Oh yeah, got my Cricut Expression yesterday! I was gone all day to Winston to see my doctor and didn't get home until 7PM, just to find an email from Wal- Mart saying my site to store order was ready for pick up. Guess what I did, yep, got right back in the car and went and picked it up! The date and letters were cut out using the Classic Font. I am gonna love this machine. Okay, getting late, gotta get the house clean and laundry done, it snowed last night and they say more is coming so lets get er done! Have a great day!!!

Love your LO Olga. What a great idea about cutting out the flowers and leaves and keeping a stash. Definitely going to do that too - Thanks!

Love the page and the write up! Flowers are beautiful and I like that "musical" paper with the flourish and bird.

Great page, Olga. Love your story too! In 1980, we lost everything in a fire as well, so we can certainly relate! Very well done, my friend!

Fantastic page Olga! You are really gonna love your Cricut. There is a program similiar to SCAL but so much better because you can set it up to cut images with it and will save you a ton on cartridges. I'll email the link to you.

Your flowers are beautiful and I love the page and colors. How devastating to lose all your wonderful family pictures but so glad you still have this one. "Hugs" Carol

What a beautiful page and love the flowers. Careful with your Circut and Gypsy, it is very addicting. I am so excited to see what you make, everything you do is so gorgeous. I am just going to sit and wait, if you don't mind, I will even help with the housekeeping and walk Bandit.:) Oh, you just need to get rid of the snow, easy right? Have a good one.

Very pretty page Olga and a good year!! ;0) Love your flowers too. Our snow ended up being a bust much to the kids dismay, they were hoping for a 2 hr delay!

Olga,
Love your page and the flowers of course! I have the same problem we had a house fire and lost everything. I did however manage to find 3 pictures none are very good. I have two printed out I may use them on the layout.
