Happy Fall Yall'

This is for Joan's Garden's challenge this week. To do a fall theme card using pumpkins or fall leaves with either embossing or glitter. The images are embossed then colored in. The big leaf is stamped on sticky acetate then gold leafing was added to the sticky side. This is an old Stamping Up set of stamps "Fall Whimsy". I have so many stamps I forget what I do have. But thought this would be great for her challenge. Wanted something different. All the card stock is SU also. I stamped every thing on scraps form my stash then cut and arranged them. Using thread stitched them together. Added a acorn button to finish it off. Hope you like, it was fun to make. That's what is is all about, have fun!

Miracles

I love trying new things. I found this over at Bonnie McLain's blog Love Light and Peace. She explains how to take a corner punch and go all around the paper to make a piece of paper art? Forget what she called it . I did not find it easy to do, but got it done. Maryanne also done one and talked about how easy it was, (she must be a smarty) LOL. I made this card for Lee's CHA challenge over at STV. There are 3 different challenges going on but tonight at 7PM is the deadline so hurry over there! I used a MS punch, store bought flower, black pearls and the sentiment is from Theresa Momber's stamp set "Hope Grows". Hope you like, thanks for dropping by. Have a great Sat!!

Watermelon

Okay, here is the last of the cards I made before camp. Last night was the last of camp so it's back to card making. A few of you have ask what kind of camp etc, we (the Recreation Dept.) held a camp for 90 adult mentally challenged residents. It is one of the highlights we offer them every year. Come this Sunday, I will have worked there 29 years. It's a hard job at times but I must like it to have stayed so many years LOL. I'll try and post a picture or 2 later. On to my card, it's Stamping up card stock, embossed with the Scrollwork folder. Then I stamped the Sarah Kay image and colored her in with the Prisma Pencils. Then I cut her out with the Labels Ten. Behind it is 2 of the diecuts from the Perfect Petals Set. I did use a Sharpie to color 6 tiny white pearls and made them red. That's it. I'll try and catch up commenting today, but have a few errands to run and things to do before I can sit and relax so put up with me a tad bit longer LOL. Went to bed at 10 last night and already up at 3:30AM, it's gonna be a long day! Have a fantastic day!!

It was hot, and I am dead tired! Here is another card I made this past weekend, see I knew I wouldn't come in and stamp hehe, no energy left. This is some of the new paper I got from Memory Box. The black is from Gina K. The swirly thing is from spellbinders Single leaf die, the image is from Hero Arts colored with Prisma Pencils. 2 black pearls were added to finish it off. I like it and hope you do too! That's it for now, sorry I'm not getting around to every one's blog to comment, just not enough time in the day.........So until the next time, have a great fantastic day and Happy Stamping!

Sunny Days

It's me again.....back with yet another card with Heartfelt Creations! Need I say I love love love em!!! This is the Simple Filler Stems Set and the Daisy Patch Flower. The sentiment is in with the stem set. I did use a Martha Stewart corner punch and butterfly punch. For the flower I stamped with Versa Mark then embossed with White powder. They were cut out using the Daisy Patch Diecuts. The leaves were colored in using Prisma Pencils. Card Stock is from Stampin Up. I have received several emails asking about camp. It's HOT! Today rained us out so we moved inside to the gym but that just isn't camp like. So even though we need rain, (thank you Lord), I'm praying it holds off until after camp tomorrow. Okay that's it for now, ready to kick the shoes off and put a gown on and relax.........until the next time, Happy Stamping!!!

God's Love

A friend of mine ask me last week if I could make a card for her to give someone. So Sat. this is what I came up with. I used several different tools as I like to call them, the embossing folder is from Cuttlebug, Kassie's Brocade, the swirly die is from Spellbinders Perfect Petals set, the oval is cut with a classic oval die from Spellbinders, the Daisies are stamped using Heartfelt Creations Daisy Patch set then cut out with the matching die, I stamped them with versa mark and heat embossed with black powder. The leaves are from a MS punch. Added 3 pearls to finish it off. I took it into work this morning and she loved it. Now she wants another card, a thank you, YEAH! That's it, it's camp week at work, so I gotta work until 8-8:30PM each night, yall think about me out there in the HOT weather, LOL. Have a good one and until the next time, Happy Stamping!!

All Tore Up

This is kinda simple but i really like the way it turned out! It's for the challenge over at Raising the Bar. I used SU card stock and a piece of dp from my basket of scraps. Ribbon is some I picked up some time back at Michael's. The image is from Sarah Kay that I purchased from Joan's Garden. If you haven't been over there do your self a favor and GO! She has a challenge every Thur with great prizes, great products and great shipping! I colored her in with my Prisma Pencils. Added buttons and that's about it. Hope you like and thanks so much for taking time to drop by. Have a great rest of the day today!

Blue Bird

Good Morning. I'm up late but man it feels good to sleep in once in awhile. Here is my card I made for the Rose's (Sue, Kerrie, Connie, Kym, Betty and myself) monthly challenge. Betty was the Queen Rose this month and not only set the challenge, sent us a stamp and dp. The stamp is fro Martha Stewart, I opt not to use her dp, sorry Betty. This is some of the yellow that came in a sample pack from SU so I'm not sure about the name of it. I embossed it with that Kassie's Brocade from Cuttlebug and the little thingies are cut out with the Fleur De Lis, ( I know now it means Flower) thanks Lori! I also cut the circle out with the leaves hanging over like Gina K showed in one of her videos. Added pearls and ta da!! Oh yeah, colored with Prisma Pencils. That's it for now, coffee is ready so later yall, I may be back. I do want to make cards for this weeks challenges over at STV. So until then, Happy Stamping!!

Birthday

Look what came in the mail today! YEAH!!! I'm suppose to be doing house work but who can clean when ya got new goodies yelling at ya? LOL. The challenge this week over at Joan's Garden is to do a birthday card using something bright and happy adding some kind of flower. I came up with! Okay, I know the daisy's aren't cut out right, I'm still playing, just can't get it together. But I still like em. I used white and black card stock, the yellow is from SU which I embossed with black embossing powder. The Daisy Patch Stamp is of course from Heartfelt Creations, the sentiment is from Inkadinkado. The black swirly thing is a die from Perfect petals diecut. The oval is cut out with a classic oval die. Leaves are from a MS punch. I got all this except the cs and MS punch from Joan's Garden. Be sure and check her site out and the challenge! Okay that's it for now, I have got to atleast vacuum LOL. You may see more later.......

Fleur De Lis

Not sure what that means but to me it means gorgeous if I can ever get it out of the die! I love this, but it is some what hard to punch all the little have whats out then get it out without tearing it. What I did this time was, I ran it through the Big Shot 3 times, then took my paper piercer and poked every thing out that was going to the trash, then took my stylist and lightly rubbed around it until I got part lose and ta da! Very time consuming, but man, look at what I wound up with. I love it!!! I added 3 tiny Roses and some white leaves I punched out with a MS punch, added 4 large pearls and said that's it!! The wine looking cs is from SU but I'm not sure of the name, the white is Gina K PL. Thanks for dropping by to look and have a fantastic day!!

I love this!!! I used some shinny white card stock for the flowers and back panel which I embossed using the Script folder. I also used my Pine punch by McGill for the white leaves, the lilies are stamped using Heartfelt Creations Open Petals, leaves are stamped with Elegant Leaves and both are cut out with the Perfect Petals Diecut from Spellbinder. Pink Flower

Okay, here is my first attemp at making one of these flowers with stamps and die cuts. I love it and hope you do too. I will make another only this time do it with orange and black dots, I noticed my tiger lillies are blooming.....I love em! Okay, here is what I did and used. First remember the corner punch I won from Joan's Garden last week, well I went ahead and bought the border punch to go with it, "Modern Garland", I love it!!! Then I cut and embossed a piece of white with the "Kassie's Brocade" folder I got from Joan's Garden. I stamped the flower petals, all 18 of them with "Open Petals" and 6 leaves from "Elegant Single Leaves". Then using the "Perfect petals Diecut" from Spellbinders I cut every thing out. Put it together and placed a brad in the center. I used foam board behind the purple and the white embossed piece. I just put lots of glue on it and stuck it on. Cheap and easy! I am going to be giving this card to a lady at work who is retiring at the end of the month. She is also a very dear friend. Every thing I used to make this card came from Joan's Garden except the card stock, brad and glue stick. Hey I could be her PR LOL. She does have wonderful stuff at great prices!!! Okay that's it for now, Gonna see what else I can get into.......
