Christ is Risen

I'm back with another card. This is an Easter Card. Hopefully Easter will be here before we know it. With Easter is also a little warmer weather. This is for 2 challenges. I get excited when I can apply it to 2, there are ladies out there who apply their cards to way more, just don't know how they do it. This is for Sketch Girls and Crazy 4 Challenges. The yellow, pink and green are card stock from a local print shop in Galax. My dear wonderful friend Pam gave me some of it last weekend while she was here. It just yells spring. The flowers are some I got for my birthday. I punched the leaves out with a MS punch, the bordered punch is from SU as well as the sentiment. I used 2 different embossing folders, Swiss Dots and Textile. Hope you like my card. I'm pleased with how it turned out. Gotta do some more laundry and then back in here playing. So I may be back.

Roses

Good Morning!! Hope everyone is well and happy. Last year when Stamp TV started, I got to know several ladies, we formed a little group we called Roses. Sue W.,Kerrie M., Kym W., Connie L., Betty B., and myself decided to start our own monthly challenge. Sue picked this month and we were to make a Thank You card for Gina K. and her staff. It's just a small way to say thanks for all they have done. I don't know about everyone else but I do know I have learned so much and my card making has gotten better than it was a year ago. Any way, I used Gina K. card stock, A Year of Flowers stamp set, MS corner and border punch and 2 small buttons. This will go out in the mail in the morning. Hope you like my little easel card. Thanks for dropping by and yall have a good one!

I Don't Think So

Good morning, hope all is well in your part of this wonderful world. Before anything else, you gotta go check out StampTV. Gina K has an amazing deal going on. When you buy $35.00 worth, you can get a free stamp set from $19.95-$24.95. Is that not a great deal. I ordered twice, LOL. Won't eat this month but hey, I can stamp and forget them hunger pains LOL.
This is from Theresa Momber's set "Purrr-fectly-Delightful". I won this set last week. It's so exciting when you win isn't it!! This is for TigerLily's color challenge (to use Merallics) at StampTV and LaLaLand's sketch challenge. I colored this cute little guy with pencils and OMS then cut him out. I used embossing folders and Stampin Up corner punch. Added 3 black pearls to finish it off. I plan to stay home today stamping so who knows, I may be back. Happy Stamping!!

Smile

Morning, I guess we got about an inch of snow last night. It snowed off and on all day yesterday but no accumulation. They still talking dirty about getting more. The Northeast are really in for it. My heart goes out to them!
Ever do a card you just weren't sure about? Well here is one of mine. In a way I like it, then again I think trash it. It's for Vicki's color challenge Dark Brown, Sage, and White over at Scrapbooking and Crafting Friends. If you haven't been there go check em out. I used SU card stock and although you can't see it I used my scor-pal and scored around the Sage, then cut the brown out with the Shapeabilities pendants. Ran some ribbon through it and stamped the sentiment from a clear stamp I have with no name. That's it. Thanks for taking time to drop by to look, hope you like and ya'll have a wonderful day!!

I'm Here For You

Good Morning. It was a lot warmer yesterday and a lot of the snow is gone! But the mean old weather man said we may get some more today. he's so mean LOL.
this is another card I made Friday while Parke and Pam were here. It's made out of scrap paper and I'm thinking it's all from SU. I know the sentiment is, it's from the set "Herb Expressions". The butter fly is a Martha Stewart. I punched the flower out with a SU punch, the frame is from the die Demask. I embossed the brown with the folder Demask also. That's it this morning. Gotta get my shower and off to work I go. Hope everyone has a fantastic day!

Lucky Bear

Good Morning. It's Magical Monday! Nilla is our host this week and ask us to use the image "Lucky Bear". To get your free copy go on over to TMITA/PCC and join in with the challenge. This week you can win "Just Because".Nilla also ask us to use any technique for distressing. It could be roughing up your paper with scissors, inks, sanding, scraping, pounding which ever you felt like! I chose the scraping on the first 2 layers, then the image layer with ink. I'm not sure where I got the dp, it was in a Holiday pack but of course I don't know the company name. I colored in using Stampin Up Markers. The word is stampin up also and I punched it out with the Window Punch. Added ribbon and a couple of green gems to finish it off. Nina May has added 25 more great gorgeous images to her store. Do your self a favor and check them out here. Just look under New Arrivals. While there check them all out. Don't forget to check out the other DT gorgeous creations! Believe

Good Morning. We had fun yesterday, I finished up making 3 cards, so did Parke, Pam well I'm not sure what she did, I do know she punched some flowers out. All and all it was a great day. this is the card I made for Color Dare. To be honest with you when i first read the colors we were to use I said out loud to myself, how ugly. But man, they do go together so good! I hadn't finished this card but maybe 30 minutes and my daughter came in and took it. She loved it too. Anyway, I was to use Rich Razzleberry, Tempting Turquoise, Pale plum and Basic Black. I used a Martha Stewart border punch at the bottom and added black ribbon and bow. The base of my card is the Pale Plum. All paper is from Stampin Up. Thanks for taking time to drop by, hope you like my card. Until the next time, Happy Stamping!!

Jill

Good Morning....This card is for Mo's challenge. I am to use my favorite image, (Jill) one layer and may use ribbon. I absolutely love this image. She reminds me of my GD Stella so much. She told me once she was a Diva so when I ran across this in my ribbon basket it just jumped out at me LOL. I also used my scor-pal and added lines around it. The yellow is colored with Stickles, then of course Stampin Up markers.
My second card is one I have wanted to try for awhile and finally got around to it. I found the instructions on how to at SCS here. I was amazed how easy it was. A Shadow box card. I used the image my dear and wonderful friend MaryAnne Stamped out and sent me, the purple is from Gina K. I used a Martha Stewart border punch for the sides, and there's that butterfly punch with no name again LOL. Added 3 little pearls to finish it off. I'll be making more of these now that I see how easy they are. Thanks for taking time to drop by. I really do appreciate it and your comments. Parke and Pam are coming over today and we gonna play. Both are great friends who I work with plus stamping buds. Parke is also my boss, but not when we play LOL.

Dream

This is my second post this morning, who knows I could be back with more later LOL. I made this card for 2 challenges, first is a sketch challenge at Andrea's Sketch, check it out!!! I just found it thanks for Sue! The second challenge is for "Fun For Challenges" colors to use were Gray, Pink and Purple. Be sure and check her blog out too! Again thanks Sue. I used Stampin Up card stock Going Gray and pretty in Pink, which I embossed using the Demask folder. The purple is from Gina K. which I punched out the butterflies with a punch I have had for a long time and it doesn't have a name on it. The sentiment is one I got from Michael's for a dollar from Hampton Art. Added ribbon and 3 little pearls to finish it off. I love the way it turned out and hope you do too!

Bright Colors

Good Morning.....I know I'm late LOL.
This is a card I made for Vicki's color challenge over at Scrapbook & Crafting Friends. Be sure and check them out! I used white for the base and a piece of printed purple from my scrap box, I punched the corners with a Martha Stewart corner punch on the dp and purple. I also embossed the purple with the Demask folder. The dark purple and yellow are form Gina K.'s autumn pack. For my birthday I got me (don't ya love it when we do that) the Shapeabilities pendants. So I used that and cut out the yellow. Oh yeah the center purple also. Placed a purple heart in the center of that and it's complete. I love how it turned out. I think it bright, colorful, and just yells spring or Easter. hope you all have a wonderful day and Happy Stamping!

Challenge Notebook

Good morning, it's another cold day here in southwest VA. But at least they aren't calling for snow today!
Here is a book I covered. I got the idea and measurements from Gina K. over at StampTV. If you want them it's on the main page called Journal part 1 & 2. Gina does a great job telling us how to make different things. I used Stampin Up 12x12 double sided card stock. The Green ribbon is some I got from Michael's awhile back. Typed the word and then cut it out with a oval nestie. It was really easy to make and hope you like. Yall have a great day and thanks for taking time to drop by, I really do appreciate it and your comments!

My Cup of Tea

Good morning! Hope everyone is well and happy. Had a wonderful Valentines Day with DH and my daughter came by. My Son called and said Miss Stella won another Beauty pageant. When I talked with her I ask her if she had a good Valentines Day and she remind me it was her birthday, she turned 3 on Friday. She's gonna be like Nana and celebrate all month LOL.
On to my card:
Selma Stevenson brings us this week's challenge. She wants you to use any Paper Cupcake's image you have acquired and also wants to see you use lace (either paper punched or real) and a circle (the main image and/or greeting stamped in a circle). I decided to use the image My Cup of Tea. I used a Martha Stewart border punch to make my lace, then I placed 2 different ribbons down the middle of it. Colored my image in using Stampin Up markers. Card stock is also SU. Added white pearls and dotted around the circle using a marker. The circle is punched out with a Nestabilities. Hope you like my card and decide to play along with our challenge this week. Don't forget to check out the DT's cards , they are all fantastic! Here is what you can win for this week’s random drawing for whoever participates in this weeks challenge and links their work back to TMITA/PCC. We would love it if you play along!
Thanks for dropping by, I really do appreciate it and your wonderful comments! Until next time Happy Stamping!!

You only Live Once

Good Morning. Well the sun is shinning bright but......no grass and they are saying more snow in the morning. Come on, give us a break already LOL. Here is a card I did for the challenge at Crazy 4 Challenges. To make red the main point of the card. I think I have done this. The flower image is the stamp my dear friend Mary Anne sent me for my birthday! The sentiment is from Stampin Up's Fifth Avenue Floral that I borrowed from Pam yesterday during our stamp playday. I have this embossing folder and thought that was what I was going to do, but maybe later LOL. I am woman and can change my mind, it's the LAW LOL. I used my scor-pal to create the background. I'm practicing for Selma's challenge over at STV. I also added the gems that came with the stamp set she gave me, ribbon is from Michael's.
I gave Bill (my DH) his Valentine card this morning and later he showed me one I have given him about 3 or 4 years ago. The first picture is from 1992, man how we have changed, we looked so young and now.....well we can't decide who caused who to age LOL. I say he did and he says I put every grey hair on his head LOL. NOT. Well, I plan on a very lazy day today and plan on watching Nascar later, poor Jr. he wrecked yesterday and it wasn't his fault, so I'm really pulling for him today. Yall have a great Valentines day and Happy Stamping!

Wonderful Wings

Good morning! I'm telling myself it is going to be a great day! I'm sure of it!! This is a card I made for LaLaLand, not to use dp. I could emboss or embellish anyway but no dp. I used Stampin Up embossing folder to emboss the Orchid Opulence cs that I attached to the Marvelous Magenta. I went around the edge with a pilot god Marker and dotted the center of the flowers with it. I then used Black Color Box and black embossing power to stamp and cut out the butterfly from Stampin Up Wonder Wings butterfly. I used some gold wire to make the antenna's and attached them to the butterfly. Using Scor tape attached it to the card. It's a clean and simple card but hey, sometimes that's all ya need. I didn't finish the inside because right now I'm not sure what I will do with this card. It really could be for anything. thanks for taking time to drop by, hope everyone has a great day...........Happy Stamping!!

Mummu & Virginia

Good Morning everyone! I saw something yesterday I hadn't seen for a long time. I wondered for a few minutes what in the world is it? Then one of my Co-Workers figured it out, it was the SUN! LOL. It was so pretty. We need sunshine so bad!
My card is another Mo's Image I purchased with the coupon Kym gave me for my birthday. I colored it in using pencils and OMS. The base of my card and the brown is from Stampin Up. The piece I punched is out of the scrap basket. Added 3 buttons I got for my birthday from my secret pal who is by the way (I'm pretty sure) is either Parke or Olivia. LOL, it's fun trying to guess. I will go on record to say I have been wrong once, last year at church I was way off! But most of the time I guess right hehe. I may be 60 but I love little games like this, makes ya feel like a little girl again. Well guess I'll grow up now, I have house work to do today, ouch! It's a dirty job but someone has to do it right? the maid never does show up LOL. Thanks for taking time to drop by and have a look. I appreciate it and your comments. Have a wonderful blessed day and until the next time, happy Stamping!!

Mummu's Laundry

Good Morning, the wind is still strong here but not as bad as it was yesterday, I was afraid a time or two it was gonna pick me up and take me away LOL.
Here is another card I made Sat. The image is Mummu's Laundry from Mo's Pencil. Card stock in from Stampin Up. I colored her in using SU markers. Cut the image out using a nestability and the side is punched using a Martha Stewart border punch. Applied tiny buttons I got for my birthday from my Secret Pal. Not much work but I think it turned out pretty good..With that long white hair and the way she is build, it reminds me of my Grandma years ago, she died back in June of 1983, she was 96 and one of the sweetest women I have ever known. Well ya'll stay warm, kinda hard to do this time of year but do your best hehe. Until the next time, Happy Stamping!!

Butterflies

Good Morning. Well I'm feeling a bit better and I am going to work. I keep telling myself "I feel Good, I feel Great!" LOL. Lets see if that mind over matter works LOL. Thanks for every one's well wishes.
I made this card yesterday. It's another one where there is no stamping or coloring. Just punch the layers out and layer them how easy is that! I used Gina K. Ivory as the base of my card then black that I embossed with the Textile folder. Found a piece of peach looking CS in my basket and cut the oval frame out. Added the butterflies then placed pearls around the oval. It still needed some thing so I added pearls in 2 of the corners. Thanks to Selma I think I found an easier way of putting my name on the cards. Yes Selma, this was so much easier than what I was trying. Thanks! Thanks for dropping by to look, I do appreciate it and your wonderful comments. Lets go get a shower as I know it's gonna take longer to get ready cause I'm old and slow this morning LOL. Ya'll have a great day and Happy Stamping!!!

With Sympathy

I am trying my best to feel better. I have even been 1/2 way PLAYING. This is no stamping other than the sentiment. It's for a lady who lost her husband over the weekend, so sad.
The flowers come on a sheet labeled 1,2,3,4 etc. you just break them apart then using 1/8 pop foam layer them together. I love them and have lots. Every time I go to Enchanted Cottage I get 2-3 sheets just to have on hand for times like this. I just sent some one a couple for her birthday, so hope she likes them too. I did emboss the green around to edges and cut the frame out with the Damask frame set. Added 3 white peral and that finished it off. hope you like my card,

You do Know

Morning. Well I didn't make it to work yesterday and not going today either. Guess I'm sicker than I thought. Just laying around sleeping. I made this card Sunday. It was stamped,(by my pal Patti) then I scanned it in the computer, added the words and printed it out. It's a bit smaller than the original, I used a Nestability to cut it out. used a Martha Stewart butterfly border punch to get the bottom part, added ribbon and pearls. Also used the Damask embossing folder on the Blue card stock. Which is all from Stampin Up. I colored it in using pencils and OMS. Hope you like my card. I'm gonna lay back down, let's pray I get to feeling better today. Enough already! happy Stamping!

Flight of the Fuschia

Good Morning world! Hope you are all well and happy. It's Magical Monday at There's Magic in the Air with Paper Cup Cakes. So run on over and get your free image and join in our challenge. This week the talented Patti J. is our host and ask us to make a card using this image and make it a "Comforting" card (thinking of you, get well, sympathy, etc.) using Flourishes and/or Pearls. As you can see I made a Get Well card. The paper is from a stack I have but not sure of the company, see the flourishes in it, and the pearls I used were swirly too. I colored the image using chalks and chalk enhancer. I just love this image, who wouldn't love it, it's a bird. Thanks for taking time to drop by and look, I really do appreciate it and your wonderful comments. it's off to work I go, ya'll have a great day and until then, happy Stamping!!! Altered Tin Folder Holder

After my nap (which felt so goood) I decided to come in here and play. My dear friend, buddy ole pal, (Patti, thanks again GF) sent me a tin lunch box for my birthday, so I went to SCS and found how to cover it, you can find that here. I used some Stampin Up 12x12 I had and being yellow and blue are my favorite colors here is what I came up with. I cut the letters out on the wishblade, punched the flowers out with a punch and after all that, cut down the folder backs and fixed a filing thingy for them. I love to organize and this takes up so much LESS space than how I was doing it so I'm tickled pink!! hope ya like, it's back to the sofa for now......I am feeling better by the way, thanks for all the well wishes, it must of worked!!!! Later GF's.

Fishing

Good Morning, I'm not a 100% this morning. Some how I have managed to find a bug in all this snow, but I'm a good little girl and taking meds to fight it off. So let us pray it works LOL.
This is a card I made for the challenge over at Mo's. It was to include Wood/Would. So mine is a wooden boat. Kym sent me a coupon for my birthday from Mo's so I got this one and 3 others. Thanks Kymmie!! The card stock is Stampin Up and the piece down the side is from the scrap basket, I used a piece of ribbon (from Selma (thanks Hon) and placed 3 brown buttons on that. I colored the boat with SU marker but the rest is colored in using pencils and OMS. then I sponged around to get the sky and water. Thanks for taking time to drop by and have a look. I do appreciate it and your wonderful comments. Lets remember Linda P. and Mary Anne as they are covered up in snow! We still got a lot but our roads are clear and we have power. Well I'm off to take it easy, I may stamp more today but right now I'm gonna find my spot on the sofa and watch TV. Have a great day!!!

God's Beauty

Good morning all. We got a lot of ice yesterday and during the night. Hopefully it has moved out now and the heat wave can move in LOL.
I made this card for Jennie Harper's sketch challenge over at Stamp TV. I embossed using my new Damask Frame folder then punched the squares out using Creative Memories punch. Stamped the butterfly from Stamping Up's God's Beauty and colored it in with YoYo Yellow marker. Punched leaves out with Martha Stewart's punch and added 2 of my new flowers I got for my birthday from my Secret Pal at work. Which at this time I think it is Olivia. I could be wrong but I am pretty good at guessing who gets my name LOL. I cut the butterfly out with a oval nestie. Hope you like my card, yall have a great day, I guess I'll clean house then play later. I have got to clean this craft room up just a bit so I can find my counter top LOL. Until the next time Happy Stamping!!

Peaceful

Good Morning! it's sleeting and snowing. DH came in this morning about 2:30 AM and it had already covered the road. He drives a big rig for Pepsi in case you didn't know. now onto the card. Yes, it's another scene, you know I love making these so had to do one. This one has 7 different stamps, I started with the Glossy Paper, stamped Autumn Bank to the left side, (#214G), the on the right side added Tree Cluster (#266D), Added Tree Trunk Trio (#088F), Grateful Leaves from Hero Arts, in the lower left corner I stamped Grass Lines from rubber Soul and then just using the top of Bare Tree from memory Box stamped on top of the grass. then at the edge of the snow stamped Doe (#229A). I used Stampin Up inks Going Grey, Blue Bliss and Close to Cocoa. Attached to black card stock, the base of the card is white from Gina K. Using a white Opaque pen dotted snow flakes. Hope you like, I'm pleased with it. It does look like this out side. I remember growing up when we lived in MD, Mom would say after it snowed and stayed for awhile that it was hangin around for more, man I wish this stuff would melt and just go away LOL. have a great day and happy Stamping!!

A few of the things

Thought I would share a few of the things I got yesterday for my birthday. Thanks gals. I plan on using a lot of these this weekend while I am snowed in again. For You

Good Morning. I'm thinking it's going to be warmer today than yesterday. Would you believe it sleeted, snowed and rained yesterday after I got to work! And man, they are saying more is coming in this weekend. Enough already!!!!
One of my best friends in the whole wide world (Becky) came over Monday night and brought me my birthday gift. It was Damask Frame and die cut. Well she also gave me a bottle of wine but stamping stuff is so much more important LOL. So with the color challenge over at stamp tv I came up with this card. I used black, white, sage shadow, and Yo Yo Yellow. Every other layer was embossed, then of course I cut out the yellow to put on top. Added yellow ribbon and 4 white pearls to finish it off. I love it. This is going to be a birthday card. I have gotten so many this week and I'm telling ya, getting so many beautiful hand made cards is making this thing of turning 60 not so bad after all LOL. I will take a picture later in the week and post so you all can see how gorgeous they are. Well, gotta get to work, it's also bowling day YEAH! I'm leaving work early today too, well it is my birthday LOL. Ya'll have a good one and Happy Stamping!!

Summer Nights

Good Morning all, it's back to work this morning. I did take off early yesterday, worked til 5 PM and came on home. This is a card I made for Gina K.'s Inspire challenge over at Stamp TV. To use checks in a way that reminded me of Summer. Well this did, I could almost feel the warm air blowing in the open window as I heard the crickets outside, by the way, I hate hearing crickets LOL. I'm not sure where I got this digi, if I bought it or won it, sorry, if you know where it's from please let me know. I used Stampin up card stock, colored with Stampin Up markers. Punched the flowers out with a SU punch, added gems and a charm to the bow. Hope you like my little card. Thanks for dropping by for a look, have a wonderful day!!

I Heart You

Good Morning! We still have snow on the ground but it's off to work I go. Before I leave I'd like to share my Magical Monday tag with you. The very talented Sue is our host this week and ask us to do a Valentine tag using Nina May's "I Heart You " image with some stitching on it some where. Just go to TMITA/PCC to get yours and see all the other fantastic designs the other team members have made. I was gonna use my sewing machine, but it's not working soooo........ by hand we go. I cut the red I heart you out using my wishblade, I put one image behind that and the other a bit larger and cut that one out. All ink is from Stampin Up. So is the card stock. I added heart shaped gems and added ribbon to finish it off. Oh yeah, almost forgot, I did emboss the white with the Textile folder. Gotta love those folders! Well that's it for today, it's Monday, won't get back home until after 8PM tonight so yall have a wonderful day and I'll catch up with ya later! happy stamping
