With Sympathy

I almost threw this one in the trash. I do not like the way the green shows through the trees, I tried adding a little color but got to heavy. But keep in mind I am trying to learn. I sponged rather than use a brayer. I have more control sponging, you don't get the same effect but Ill keep working at brayering. I started out with Gina K Pure Luxury white. Stamped Country Chapel-215G from stampscapes in black StazOn. From there I added the bottom part sponging and using Stamping Up inks Old Olive and Garden Green. On the sky I used Bliss Blue, Brilliant Blue and Night of Navy. I added just a tad of color around the image grass and trees. This is where I think I messed up. Using KOH-I-NOOR colored pencils and OMS added color to the church here and there. Using a White Opaque pen highlighted parts of the trees. Matted the image onto So Saffron then forest Green both from Stamping Up. The base of my card is again Gina K Pure Luxury White. I need a Sympathy card every now and then so thought that is what I will use this one for. Thanks for taking time to drop by, I do appreciate you and your comments! Y'all have a wonderful day.

What????? Throw it away???? No way!! This is awesome. Your shading really came out well and the blue/green blending is perfect. I agree with Linda, don't trash it.

Love it....great job with the sponging, too! I have no talent when it comes to brayering/sponging; for me, it is hit or miss, lol! Therefore, I don't try it very often but yours is awesome...looks very professional!!!

Looks like a soft artist rendering- so peaceful and sends a clear message of care, warmth & concern.
