Sisters

Man how this image brings back memories......
got this image last week or the week before from Mo's Digital Pencil. Colored them in using pencils and OMS. Cut the oval out with nestie. The card stock is from Gina K. I used Pure Luxury Ivory for the base and the 4 squares I embossed. Which is also the challenge over at StampTV to ink up a embossing folder. I saw a card Shelly made this morning on her blog for CCS and loved it so much decided to case it, check her blog out she does gorgeous work. I inked 4 different embossing folders, attached the 4 squares to Bashful Blue from Stamping Up and then attached that to the card base. Added ribbon and a charm which is for the challenge over at La La Gala. The sketch is for the challenge over at Delightful Sketches. I do hope you like my card and want to thank you for taking time out to drop by, I really do appreciate it and your comments! Hope you have a Happy & Safe New Year!!

I'll do the other later. Thanks Kerrie & Sue. I love this image. I'm also doing this card for 2 challenges, Crafty Cards where I use something I like, (stitching around the card) and Stickles. The other challenge is at Rosie Dee's. I make a free choice. The card stock is White form Gina K., the pink is from Cloud 9 Designs. I used stamping up markers, and chalks to color them in. Thanks for taking time to drop by for a look. I really do appreciate you and your comments! Until the next time, Happy Stamping!

Day at the Park

No card today but 4 scrap book pages. I am so far behind it's not even funny! These photos were taken back in Sept. when my son and his family came in from AL. This is Alex, Stella, Nana (that's me) mommy and daddy. I'm not sure where the pink card stock is from but do remember I got it at Big Lots, the printed is Stamping Up. I used a Martha Stewart border punch and what print was left over cut a flower out. Pieced the other flower together with 3 flowers to make one. Mickey is stickers my friend Becky gave me . She's a jewel! LOL Thanks for dropping by, guess I'll scrap book today...yall have a good one!

It's all over but the clean up

I'm back, was cleaning off my work area and ran across this. I had started it for Rosiedee's challenge and never finished it. You know with Christmas and all. So here it is now all finished up! The dead line is tomorrow so I didn't want to miss it. Maybe every thing will slow back down now and I can get back on schedule....Thanks for dropping back by, want a cup of coffee LOL?

Good Morning

Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas. I did, my daughter left this morning and seems kinda lonesome now but the dog and DH is here, I'll be fine. He has to go to work today so this afternoon I plan on playing a lot! Here is a card I made for Selma Stevenson's Challenge Blast from the past over at StampTV. I was to use pencils and OMS. Which is what I have done. I got all of this from Gina K. at Stamp TV, the pencil's are KOH-I-NOOR, the OMS Gina K designs, and I also have the pump. I love the fact you can just close it up and don't need to fool with pouring it back into the bottle. I also have her tape runner "Glue Glider", love that too! After all , it's all about the tools LOL. The image is from Paper Cupcakes. Isn't she cute. The card stock is from Stamping up. Hope you like my card. I really do appreciate you taking time to drop in and your comments. I'll play more later so yall come back now!

Lori Congrats!

Thanks to all who played!

I love my doll

Good Morning. Well all is done and ready for tonight except the cooking.......I'll start that later. So I had time to play this morning. This card is for the challenge over at Mo's Digital Challenge and Fairly Creative Place. Do my favortie tech, which is embossing with those wonderful folders! The only color I could use was to color my image. This is another one I got the other day from Mo's digital, her name is Shophie but again, it reminds me of my little Stella. I do know Santa is bringing her a doll so this is how I think she will react. She is all girl! I colored her in using Stamping Up markers. I ran the card stock through my big shot with the textile folder, punched the flowers out using a SU punch, pop dotted them and added white pearls to the center. I love how this turned out. You just can't beat white cards......Thanks for taking time out to drop by for a look, I do appreciate it and your comments! I wish each and everyone a Very Merry Christmas and God Bless!
Copied this off Danielle's blog and just had to share it, I loved it!!
Twas the night before Christmas,I’m glued to the tree.I’m wondering what Santa brought just for me.Could it be cardstock or ink pads or lace?Or some stamps, I said, with a smile on my face. And that’s when I heard him ... “Hi Santa” I saidHe replied, “You know ... good girls should be in their beds”.“I know I should Santa and now I’ve been caught. But I was just so excited to see what you brought”“Well, let’s take a look in this room where you work”.He shook his head quickly, and left with a jerk.I heard him exclaim as he put it in gear.“You’ve got enough crap, I’ll see you next year!
I'm sure every crafter can relate to that - I know I sure can!!!
Have a great one everybody and see you all back here soon.

Windy Day

Good Morning. Well last day at work this week, then it's Christmas time. The shopping is done, gifts are wrapped, I do have 3 gift holders to make. Gina K. at StampTV showed how to make one this morning and I liked it so guess I'll make 3 of those. This image comes from Paper CupCakes, Nina May's new store. She has lots of gorgeous images so please don't forget to check those out! I love little girl images, they remind me of Stella, my only grand daughter. Last time she came for a visit she played with my cards and loves them as much as I do. I could see a future stamper LOL. I used Lovely Lilac and embossed it just part of the way with Textile folder. Using my Scor-Pal and I also added some lines down the other end where I added the ribbon and bow. I use to never add bows because I just could not tie one to save me, then came Bow Easy. I love that little tool!! She was colored in using SU markers, I did add some white glitter to the trim on her dress and hair bow. Thanks so much for taking time out to drop by and look. I really do appreciate it! Merry Christmas to all.............

Isn't she cute. I used stamping up card stock, the Lovely Lilac I ran through the Big Shot with the D'vine Swirl folder. then I added a small piece of DP from the scrap box that was also purple. Used big pop dots to add the image that I had colored with SU markers and a white pen, stamped out adorable and punched out with the word window punch. I also pop dotted it on. CCS Blog Hop

It's a great Day for a Blog Hop! Y'all ready? Well I am. It's over at CCS. Be sure to stop by the Design Team members blogs:
As well as the very creative and talented:
Olga (that's me).
Laura will also be giving away a new release to one lucky commenter from one of the blog comments, so be sure leave a comment at each stop. You just never know whose blog will be picked. You can look for the announcement of the winner over on the Creative Clear Stamps Blog: A Fairy Creative Place.
Now on to my card:
I have used 3 different sets, the sentiment is from Holiday Sentiment; The Reindeer is from Jingle Jangle; The tree and Snowman is from Let it Snow. I love these stamps and have used them a lot this year making my cards. I started out creating a background of snow drifts by sponging Blue Bliss from Stamping Up. Then I stamped the images and colored them in using Sharpies. Added glitter with a gel pen here and there and Stickles to the lights, hat and star, red ribbon around 2 corners. I hope you like my card. It was fun making. Thanks so much for taking time to drop by and hope you have enjoy the blog hop. Don't forget to check everyone's blog out and leave you comment. Who knows, you just might win!

Sunday Afternoon

It's me again, I saw where JUGS was having a challenge using chalks. I love chalks. The best ones I have ever used are from The Stencil Collection. They really don't smear! I just love them, weather I use them dry or with enhancer you just can't beat em! I used an image "Sunday Afternoon" I purchased from TMITA. Isn't she adorable! Nina has such fantastic images!! I colored her in using dry chalks then after I finished I high lighted some areas with enhancer. Cut her out using a nestie, mounted it on card stock from Stamping Up's Designer Series Paper III, taking some of the scraps I made a mock ribbon which I put hardware on, the cut a corner tab to match. Placed 3 brass brads on the corner of the image to finish it off. I am real pleased with how this turned out! Hope you like my card and thanks so much for taking time to drop in and look. Until the next time, Happy Stamping!

2nd post today

This is my 2nd card for today. I made this one for the challenge over at Sketch Saturday. I stamped my trees with Close to Cocoa, stamps are form Stamping Up and Memory Box. Then I sponged around with Lovely Lilac, Not Quit Navy and Night of Navy for the sky and Mellow Moss and Old Olive for the ground. The base of my card is Gina K. white, every thing else is out of the scrap box. I used my nesties to cut out the ovals and the word window punch for the sentiment which is from SU also. Thanks for dropping in and hope you like! Don't forget to drop back by in the morning, there's a blog Hop going on over at CCS and I'm going to be there!!!!

Jesus & Mary

Good Morning! It's cold and getting colder here in Virginia. Don't have a card this morning, but I do have another ornament. It's the last one for the year. I used Nina May''s image Jesus and Mary from There's Magic in the Air. When I first saw this image I knew what I was going to do with it. I love it. I printed it out (twice because both sides are alike), sized it, colored it in with Sharpies, glittered the inside and then applied it to the stacked ornament I had made using an Outline stamp. What you do is stamp it 4 times, cut what part you want apart, reapply it with pop dots and before applying the back, add ribbon so you can hang it. It's easy to make. This will be a gift for a co-worker. Hope you like my ornament. Don't forget to check out Nina's site, she has a lot of gorgeous images. Thanks so much for taking time to drop by and look. I really do appreciate it and your comments. Have a good day and y'all come back!

Today's card is Jessie from TMITA. Nina May has a lot of gorgeous images. This is one I fell in love with. I made this card for a friend of mine. No names cause she does read my blog. The base of the card is white from Gina K. Night of Navy from Stamping up. I colored her in using SU markers then glittered her almost all over, I love glitter! Then I sponged around the image using Almost Navy and then Night of Navy. I'm really loving this sponging thing. The wish is from SU also. Added 4 pearls to finish it off. Oh yeah, almost forgot, I did score all around it twice using my scor-pal. Gotta love that scor-pal too! Guess I love all my little tools LOL. Well lets hit the shower and go to work. I admit, I rather stay home and play but.... Thanks so much for dropping in and looking. I appreciate you and your comments!! Have a wonderful day and until the next time Happy Stamping!

Gingerbread Fun

You have arrived on the 8th stop of the There's Magic In The Air Recipe Blog Hop.

The designer Nina asked me to use the image Gingerbread Fun. I started out by stamping the swirl from Stamping Up's set Baroque Motifs with Versa Mark and embossed it with gold powder. After I sized my image and printed it out I colored it in using KOH-I-NOOR pencils and OMS and topped the candy with Stickles. Cut both the circle and the scalloped circle out with Nestablities. Attached them to my card and added the ribbon and bow to give it the look of an ornament.

Here is one of my favorite Christmas recipes:

Gingerbread:

2 cups flour
2 tsp.baking powder
2 tsp ginger
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp salt
1/3 c shortening or margarine
1/2 c sugar
1 egg
2/3 c molasses
3/4 c buttermilk

Sift dry ingredients. Beat butter and sugar. Add egg and molasses. Then add flour alternately with milk. Bake at 350 degrees for 50 minutes.

Now for my secret word:
IS

If you arrived on my blog first, you need to go to the beginning of this blog hop HERE to get all the directions and collect all the clues. If you arrived from Selma's blog then you are on the right path. Remember to leave a comment on my blog then your next stop now is to go over to

Jingles the Snowman

Hello, I'm back, after a day and half without power due to a Storm, then work, and today cleaning, I have finally took time to make a card. That's right, I took time, I'm not finished cleaning but all work and no play makes me crazy LOL! This card is for Crazy 4 Challenges.
I cleaned out my scrap box today and every thing that was smaller than a 4x6 I trashed! I'm not going to ever use it and my box was running over. I drug it down the basement steps so I could carry it out for the trash men, I thought I was at the bottom of the steps and wrong, I still lack 3, so here I go, falling the rest of the way down, landed on my wrist, knee and hit my head knocking my glasses off. But I want you to know I did not spill one piece of that trash. LOL. I couldn't move for a few minutes I was laughing so hard. No I wasn't hurt but couldn't of been. The Good Lord was watching after this old woman for sure.!

Here is Jingles the Snowman. I got him over at Digital Delights. They have great images so go check em out, and Friday is free day!
I printed him out after sizing him, colored him in with chalks and chalk enhancer. Used a glitter pen here and there, cut out snow flakes using spellbinders and then cut him out using a oval nesties. The dp is some from my scrap box, so sorry, mot sure where it's from. Thanks for taking time to drop in and look, yall come back now hear!

I used scraps out of the basket, love it when I can do that, stamped the snowmen form Great Impressions with Black Color Box and embossed with black powder. I colored the noses and collar in with chalk and chalk enhancer. The image is from Creative Visions 's Let it Snow set. The ribbon is some I had on hand. I cut the circles out with nestabilities. It really was fast and simple. But I like the way it turned out and hope you do too! Thanks so much for taking time to drop by, until the next time, Happy Stamping!!!

The Secret Is Out

Good Morning. Well I've been saying I had a secret and thank goodness I can finally tell it cause I was about to bust LOL. Nina May has ask me to join her and her wonderful talented team over at There's Magic In The Air. I was so excited , thrilled and honored to even be thought of less more ask. She has the most incredible images that she puts up every Monday. The rest of the team are just as amazingly talented! I do hope you will check everyone on the team out and beginning Wed. the 9th, there is going to be a blog hop with lots of goodies to be won so you will not won't to miss that. So mark your calendar to attend. You will start at TMITA.

Now for my card, this is "Sweet Trouble" is he not the cutest! When I saw it I thought of my little Pomeranian dog Bandit. We were to keep the card clean & simple and couldn't use any brads, bows anything that would cause bulk, and Pink. I love pink so no problem! I used Cuttlebugs embossing folder "Flourished Frame" and after printing and cutting my image out attached it in the center of the frame. I did use a glitter pen and colored in here and there. Added 2 corner stickers. The image was colored using sharpies and gel pens. I am very pleased at how he or she turned out. I want to thank you so much for taking time to drop in and look. I do so appreciate it and your comments! Until the next time, Happy Stamping!

The Wedding

Good Morning! Hope everyone is well and happy. Yesterday I went to Draper VA to attend my step daughters wedding. Although it was cold and snowing, it was a gorgeous wedding. They didn't get as much snow as we did but it still covered the ground and made such a pretty background. The wedding was inside but when they left the church I was able to snap this shot.

Okay, I told you the other day I had a secret. It is about to kill me but not a word yet. I will tell it in the morning so don't forget to drop back to find out what it is. It's very exciting!!!! I also heard Patti has a secret too. Wonder what hers is?? Wonder if we have the same secret, oh it's just getting to nerve wracking. Guess I'll have to wait to find out what hers is. But I'm telling mine in the morning so yall come on back!! Until then, have a great day!!

Blue Ridge Mountains

Good Morning. It's snowing here in south western Virginia. I hate snow! And today I have to go to work because Santa is coming, it's our big Christmas party/activity for our residents. The Lion Club comes and well it's just a big deal! then this afternoon my step daughter is getting married, another big deal, and it's snowing. No big deal don't guess, I do have a 4x4. Oh well, on to my card, this is the card I made for Jennie Harper's sketch challenge over at StampTV. I have learned so much about stamping since I joined StampTV. If you have never been over there please go check them out! I have been playing around with sponging and the other day going to work I just really looked at the mountains around me, I am very blessed to live in such a beautiful part of the world. Anyway, I thought how pretty a card would be like the scene I saw so I gave it a try. Here is what I came up with. I used Blue bliss at the top, followed by Bordering Blue, the Green Galore. I stamped the tree from Branch Out (Stamping Up) and added the 2 little birds. Cut it out using a nestie, then cut the scalloped oval out. Placed them on Bordering Blue card stock, which is on top of Bashful Blue. Stamped Thank You also from Stamping up, added 3 pearls to finish off the card. I am real pleased at how it turned out. Thanks so much for taking time to drop in and have a look. I really do appreciate it and your comments. On another note, I have been sitting on a secret and think I might tell it in the next day or two so you won't want to miss that. So check back in between now and Monday morning. Until then, Happy Stamping!!

3 rd Card today

Another challenge card. This is for Midnight Madness . I had to do a sketch plus some thing that could fly. This is a old Stamping up image from the set Heavenly Days, it's got 1995 on it but I wasn't stamping back then so I must have traded for it or bought it used. I started back in 2000. Wow , didn't think it had been that long but I guess time flies when you're having fun! Anywho, I colored her in using Martha Stewart glitter pens. The star is the center of another stamp from Outlines I had cut out. The green cs is from Gina K. and the dp is MS. Hope you like my card and who knows I may be back today with yet another card. I seem to be on a roll!

Another Christmas Card Today

I'm back, I have gotten so far behind with challenges it ain't even funny!!! I do NOT like being behind on anything. This is a card I made for the challenge over at Fairy Creative Place, I was to use only 2 designer papers only. This paper is some I got out of my scrap basket, it's from Stamping Up, the sentiment is from Creative Vision Holiday Sentiment. Thanks for dropping in for a look. I plan on stamping today so I may have another post or two so hurry back!

Not Happy Santa

Good Morning. Hope everyone is well and happy. I am just cold! I'm ready for summer LOL.Made this card for challenges, Clear Dollar Stamps A Winter stamp, La La Gala to use buttons, and StampTV to use Liquid Applique. The DP is from Martha Stewart, the image is from Rusty Pickle, the tag is a die from Spellbinders nestablities. I colored him in using Stamping up markers. Applied the liquid applique to his clothes. He looks very sad, maybe his ride left him LOL. Hope you like my card, thanks so much for taking time to drop in and look. I really appreciate it and your comments! Until the next time, Happy Stamping!!

Great Birthday

Good Morning! It's wet, cold and windy here in Virginia. Dread going out to go to work but....
Here is another scene I made, this time it's with earth tones because I'm giving it to a guy at work. Don't think he's into pink and purple LOL. Again I used Stamping Up paper, the inks are More Mustard and Close to Coco. I used a glitter pen to high light the trees and snow drifts. The sentiment is from Inkadinkado. 3 black pearls were added to finish off the card. I do hope you like it. Thanks for taking time to drop by. Until the next time, Happy Stamping!

Snowy Flight

Good Morning World! Hope everyone is well and happy this cold rainy morning. My post today is for the challenge over at TMITA, I'm to make anything but a card with the cute image "Snowy Flight". Is he not adorable!! All of Nina May's images are. She puts one up every Monday for free so you really need to go and check her out. And to your right, see where she is going to have a blog hop, won't want to miss that one! I couldn't stop with just one thing as you can see, I made a little candy basket for the challenge and then a card LOL. I printed him out then colored with stamping up markers, made my scene with SU ink pads. Stamped the tree's yep, from SU, Lovey as a Tree, every thing is in shades of purple, Lovely Lilac and Lavender Lace. Then I used my clear gel pen to high light areas and the tree tops. It doesn't show up very good but it does sparkle just enough. I cut Snowy flight out and popped him on. Doesn't he look as if he is having a ball. He's probably yelling YIPPEEEEEE! LOL. Thanks so much for taking time to drop by and look. I really do appreciate you and your comments. Until the next time, Happy Stamping Yall!
