Thank You

Hello everyone, hope all is well and happy in your part of the world. I made this card for 2 reasons, the first to Thank all of you who have left me messages that you missed me and hoped I felt better soon. Well your prayers have been answered. I have enough energy this morning to make a card telling you Thanks!!! It makes ya feel better just knowing there are wonderful people out there who take the time to let you know they are thinking about you and miss you! Second reason was the color challenge Nina is having over at Stamp TV. I was to use burgundy, olive and ivory. The base of my card ivory is from Gina K. The rest is stamping up. The sentiment is a clear stamp and I'm sorry, can't remember where I got it. I embossed each piece with a different folder then sewed it on to add texture. added the pearls and that finished it off. Thanks so much for taking time to stop by and look. I love reading your comments so drop me a line. Yall hurry back !!!

Ornaments in a Box

Hello everyone! Have ya missed me? I've missed not being here. Being I'm not one to complain I won't mention that I have Bronchitis ,sinus infection or that the damp cool air makes my arthritis act up and will go right into what I've been making........

Ornament toppers and boxes to put them in. The stamps are from Outlines. 1 holly leaf and 2 poinsettia's. I stamped with Versa Mark and embossed in gold. Cut them out and placed them on top of the ornament. Tied a ribbon through them bringing it up through the top of the box, added more ribbon for the handle and ta da! I am making 4 of these. All the ornaments are done, I went up to Becky's house Sat. evening and got those done, they were her stamps, she then showed me how to make the box, which I now have 2 done and 2 to go. These will be Christmas gifts. I hope you like them and leave me a message letting me know. I love reading your comments! Thanks so much for taking time to drop by to look and I hope you hurry back!!

Desk Calendar

Good Morning, oops, it's 12:30pm so I guess it would be good afternoon. This is what I have been working on this morning. I got this idea and instructions from Nina Brackett's blog http://ninabdesigns.blogspot.com/2009/10/ginak-lord-of-season-blog-hop.html . It's funny how this came to be, I had seen it on Monday night and fell in love with it. I thought man I'd love to have that set of stamps but money is tight being my husband is just working part time now, so it doesn't leave much money for crafting. Then I got up Tuesday morning and had an e-mail from a friend of mine from Stamp TV Betty Benton telling me I had won a scrapbook challenge on STV. God answered my stamping prayer LOL. Well I knew right away which set I was going to pick out! This was Tue. and would you believe I got them Thursday! Now that's fast! It does take a few hours to make, I used 5 sheets of 8 1/2 x 11 colored card stock and 1 sheet of white. I colored the images using pencils and OMS. I added stickles here and there, some buttons, stitched around the images and the front. Added a bow (I also learned how to do this from STV). On each of the background for the images I embossed using the cuttlebug folders. I plan on making around 10 of these for Christmas gifts, the lady who cuts my hair, the one that grooms my dog, my mail lady and a few people at work. I used my wishblade to cut 2010 out. I hope you like my calendar and will go check her blog out. She is very very talented. Thanks so much for taking time to drop by and look. Please leave me a comment I love reading them. Yall hurry back !!

Pink, Yellow & White

Good Morning!!! Hope everyone is well and happy! I have to take my boy in to be groomed this morning and then clean house. OUCH! So I'm playing early before the day starts! Here is a card I made for Vicki vdutchr's color challenge over at http://scrapbookingcraftingfriends.ning.com/ I used all stamping up card stock but it was in the scrap box so I'm not sure of the color names except pink, and yellow LOL. I felt like it was a test to see how much I had paid attention to things I have learned from Selma Stevens and Gina K. So here is my final test. Yall get to grade me LOL. First I embossed the square in the upper middle of my pink. Then I used a cb eb folder from Just My Type, and worked it around the square to emboss the upper part but not in the square and it worked!!!! Thanks Selma, then I embossed the lower half with Textile. The flower is a nestie I layered and added a brad to in the center. Then I used my bow easy and would youlook at that bow!!!! Thanks Gina!! It worked. I did the double bow as she described in her demo on stamp TV. Look out world, I will be putting bow on every thing now LOL. I hope you like my card and please leave a comment telling what I should of done if anything different. I love how we can learn from one another. Lord knows I have learned so much from so many talented women out there. How would I live without my computer! Okay I'm off to the shower so I can get the day started. Thanks so much for taking time to drop in and have a look see, yall come back!!

Ornament #3

Hello! Hope everyone has had a great week so far. I have only very busy. But I did find time to make a few things tonight. Here is another ornament I made using another stamp from Outlines. I did borrow this stamp from a friend of mine. I love it and seems like I borrow it from her every year at this time. I used Versa Mark and stamped it on Gina K. Pure Luxury card stock. Then embossed with gold powder. I also stamped one on red card stock and cut the center out and used a pop dot on it. I added gems on all 8 points and one larger one in the center. The ribbon runs between the two. Oh yeah I'm sorry, the front and back are just alike and attached with pop dots. Hope you like this ornament and thanks so much for taking time to look. Yall hurry back!!!

Santa

Can you tell I'm home alone except for the dog, and I'm playing!! I made this card for "Just Us Girls week #3 color challenge. I was to use Aqua, red and cream. Which I have done. I did stamp Santa on shrink paper, colored him in with stamping up markers, heated it then applied it. I also embossed the aqua which doesn't show up, it was just a square within the red square but still. I saw how to tie this bow today on Carolina's Creative Pad, so I just had to try. I'm rather please with it. The cream and aqua are stamping up card stock, the red is Gina K. I also added pearls to finish off my card. Hope you like it and thanks so much for taking time to look. I truly do appreciate all the comments also. Yall come back!!

I used Gina K. card stock except the poinsettia is stamping up card stock that I stamped with black color box and heat embossed. The Poinsettia is from Holly Berry House. I cut it out and attached it to the same stamped image only in green. Added gold beads in the center. The sentiment is from stamping up as well. Attached 2 pieces of white ribbon, gold circle cut out using a nestie, attached all that and added 3 small pearls to finish off my card. Stamping on Candles

Good Morning! Pray everyone is well and happy this Friday morning! Here is a candle I tried stamping on, you can go to StampTV and watch Gina K.'s tutorial on this and her challenge for the week. I'm just not that good at it. But I had never seen it done this way and must admit, this is the best one I have ever been able to do. It was the way she showed you to hold it while you heat it up. I used clear stamps I had got a a $1.00 bin at AC Moore last your after the holidays, inked them up with Versa Mark, stamped them on to my tissue paper, applied Powder Keg's Red Rose embossing powder. After heating them up placed it on my candle and a little at a time heated it onto the candle. Like I said this is the best one I have ever done but I could do alot better. So I think today I'm going to do a few more......Thanks for taking time to look and hope you leave me a comment telling me to either forget this or keep trying LOL. Have a blessed day!!

Hello again. Yes, I'm still in my craft room, it's cold, raining and DH is at work, so why not play. I better, gotta go back to work tomorrow. Anyway, here is 2 ornaments I made using Outlines stamps. The first one I used Gina K.'s white Pure Luxeray Paper. It's good and strong and perfect for ornaments! I stamped it out 4 times, Gold embossed it, cut them up and pop dotted them back in place. Both sides are alike. Gold ribbon was placed in the center before glueing the 2 sides together. The 2nd on I also used stamping up real red cs. Plus I added glitter. These are going to be gifts to someone at work or church. Thanks so much for taking time to look. Hope you like and please leave a comment and let me know! Have a great evening and I'm gonna go take a break and see whats on TV! Yall hurry back

JOY

It's me again LOL. I'm off today so I'm playing. Here is my take on MOJO's challenge card today. I stamped it on Gina K's pure luxury white, (man that's great paper!) using color box then clear embossed. Colored it in using H2O's. The stamp is one I've had like forever by SonLight Impressions. I used a gold pen around the edge, attached it to red cs from SU that I had embossed with CB folder, then attached it to black which I embossed with another CB folder. Added ribbon and a flower I punched out to complete my card. Thanks for taking time to look and yall have a great day!!

Angels Sing

Good Morning all, hope everyone is fine and happy this Monday morning. Today I have a card I made for the challenge over at "Clear & Simple (CPS137). It's a neat layout I'm just not sure if I got it simple enough, This is another stamp I borrowed from Becky so I'm not sure who it's from. I colored the image using Kohinoor pencils and OMS. Red and black paper are from stamping up and white is from WalMart. Ribbon is some I had. Fiskars border punch. Hope you like my card, I'm please with it and think I'll make another one but add more to it, so come back by later and see what the next one will look like. Good morning! Gotta hurry this morning and post and hit the shower. Got places to go, people to see and things to do. LOL
Went over Becky's yesterday, (one of my very best friends), I borrowed several Christmas stamps and here are 2 of them. I love this Santa. I stamped him with Stazon onto shimmering white paper, then used green to stamp the pine limbs, I used stamping up markers to color his face and glasses. Used a nestie to cut the circles out, can you see where I added just a little bit of Stickles in the corner of his eye. Stamped the sentiment and cut it out again with a nestie. Added dots of stickles around the largest circle to complete the card. Thanks for taking time to drop by and look, hope you like. Have a wonderful and Blessed day and yall come back!!

Linda's Sketch

Hello! Man it is gorgeous here today. Temp is in upper 80's. My kind of weather!
Here is the card I did today for Linda Payne's Sketch Challenge over at StampTV. I loved the sketch the minute I saw it! Remember the other day when I cleaned out my paper, well I just found all kinds of goodies, all this paper is out of my scrap box. Basket isn't big enough so it's now in a box, a big one LOL. All the paper is from stamping up. I inked up my stamp wtih Versa Mark first then over to Baroque Burgundy from SU, clear embossed it. I used a brush and lightly ran it over the image to tone down the green. Added black pearls after I had cut it out using Nestablities. Added burgundy ribbon, punch out a flower, and added a larger black pearl in the center of that. Ta Da it's all done. Hope you like my card. Thanks so much for taking time to look and yall hurry back!

Book pages

Good Morning all! It's going to be such a beautiful day here today. Tomorrow it's gonna be back up in the 80's!! I'm lovin that!!
Here is a card I made awhile back. I saw this in a magazine and fell in love with it. I can't remember what you called it so if you know please let me know! I used metallic paper and the flowered paper is either from Anna Griffin or Brenda Walton. Anyway, I sketched it out and then cut it out in 3 different sizes. It looks like book pages, used the nestabilities to cut the ovals out and stamping up stamp to stamp Happy Birthday. The flowers are some you punch out with your fingers and layer. Ran a piece of ribbon down the center and applied pearls. I also used a gold marker from Pilot on the edges of the book pages. Hope you like my card, I also made a box to place it in, the card measures 9 1/2 x 6 1/2. Thanks for dropping by and yall hurry back!!

Okay here is the piles of paper after I sorted through all of it. I laid it out in the spare room, this is a queen size bed. The next picture is it all put up. Some is in the hanging folders, blue, red and brown are in the drawers and the new packs are on the shelf. Lets see if I can go 3 months without buying any 12x12 paper. LOL. Keep in mind all of this is just 12x12 paper. We'll tackle the 81/2x 11 later LOL. Have a great day and yall come back! Think I'll go put my feet up and watch a little TV for awhile.......

Happy Birthday

Good Morning! Man is warm this morning and you know I'm lovin it! Starting to rain but that's okay too as long as it's not cold!
Well I really got into a mess yesterday. I decided I was going to go through all my 12x12 paper and organize it. I got paper every where and couldn't ever find the right color. So I'm putting all the blues together, the greens, reds etc., etc. I have enough paper to do me for years. But I love paper. I remember when I first starting buying scrapbook paper I got one of those 13x13 plastic containers to keep it in. I soon out grew it and lots more. Hopefully if I stay at it I will get it all sorted today. Here is a card I made awhile back, think it was right after I joined StampTv. I do remember I cased it from Selma Stevens. She is so talented! I used the dots embossing folder and lightly sanded it to bring the white out, used MS border punch and Nestablities to cut the oval out that I used to stamp Happy Birthday on, stamp is Stamping Up. Added pearls and ta da.I found this in a box of paper, don't know how in the world it got in there but hey, the bright side, gave me a card to post this morning LOL. Okay, I'm gone, gotta get busy and get this craft room cleaned back up. You know so I can mess it back up again LOL. Thanks for dropping in and having a look. Yall come back!

Gold Christmas

I'm back, didn't ya know since I'm not working today I'd be playing! Thanks to Linda, Jennie and Patti I found a new site with a challenge. It's all about texture. CCS1 Here is their site so go check them out!http://creativeclearstamps.blogspot.com/
I first used a brass template placing it on black card stock and applied Dream weavers Stencil Translucent embossing paste to it, removed the template and applied gold glitter, let it dry. After it was dry I embossed the top part with CB Snow Dots Folder. Applied ribbon , cut the corner punch out, (it's from sizzex), cut the label out and stamped Merry Christmas in the center of that. Attached it to the black with gold brads. Ta Da, it's finished. Hope you like my card, I'm pleased I think LOL. Let me know what you think. I really do appreciate all your comments! Yall hurry back.

Love & Joy

Good Morning! I'm off work the rest of the week and I'm lovin it already LOL.
Made this card and I'm real pleased at the outcome. I took another brass template, then used Dream Weavers Stencil Gold Paste and applied it all over, using a spatula took the excess off. Carefully removed the plate and let it dry. Applied it to black card stock then on to the base of the card. Prieced the upper left hand corner to complete my card. Hope you like it. Thanks for dropping by and yall hurry back!

Glittered Tree

Good Morning! It's a cool fall morning here in Va. Is it summer yet? LOL, I hate cold weather!!
Last night after every thing was done I sat and came up with this card. Oh yeah, got to see 2 of the grand babies yesterday. Lee & Amanda brought Aiden and Liam over, man they both are growing like weeds. What I'd give to have just a third of the energy Aiden has!
Anyone who knows me knows I love glitter! So, I took a piece of P K Glitz sticky paper, placed a brass template on top, first I put the yellow on for the star, then the green for the tree. Removed the paper from the template and put white glitter all over the rest. I used a gold pen and went around the edge. Took the striped paper from my scrap basket, put it on white card stock from stamping up, added ribbon I purchased from AC Moore to complete my card. Thanks for dropping in for a look, I do appreciate it and your comments! Hope you like my card and yall hurry back!!

From Our House to Yours

Good Morning. It's been a few days. I went 2 days without internet! Yes I was almost crazy LOL. The line into the house had got cut into, I had phone, I had TV but no internet. So I guess it was the internet line LOL. I thought every thing would have died but no, I think someone did it to drive me crazy LOL. Not really, it's called the lawnmower....... Anyway
Here is a card I made for Crazy 4 Challenges, C4C5. It was to use sewing on your card. I also love gold embossing and almost didn't finish this cause it's a little busy with the embossing but decided to go for it! I used Theresa Momber sentiment from "Autumn Beauty". The stamp image is from Impression Obsession "Winter Farm". I have had this stamp a few years but still love it! I cut the sentiment out using a Shapeabilities Fancy Tag. All card stock is from stamping up. Hope you like my card and don't forget to comment. I do appreciate what you have to say! Thanks for dropping by and yall hurry back!

From Our Family to Yours

Good Morning, hope all is well with everyone. This morning I have a card I made this past weekend. I used Stamping Up card stock, embossed the blue with cuttlebugs snow flake folder, stamped "Holly Berry House" snowmen and colored them with markers, added glitter. Stamped the swirl in the corner with a SU stamp. Then using nestablities cut out the oval and snowflake. The sentiment is from Teresa Momber's "Autumn Beauty". The snowflake is cut out using sticky paper and applied glitter. I love that stuff. It is so easy to use. Hope you like my card. Leave me a comment, I love reading what ya think! Thanks for dropping in and yall come back!
