Days Gone By

Here is another card I made today using Stamp It's background stamp #1. Then I taped the lines off with block-it tape, stamped mostly stamps from Stamping Up's "Days Gone By" and 3 from Nina Brackett's "bug me anytime". Used the KOH-I-NOOR pencils and OMS to color in. Then I rubbed tea distressed ink all over the card. Tamped out "Hi there" cut it out and matted it on black, glued it in place, glued the stamped part on black, glued it on the card and it's all finished! I added stickles in the center of the flowers and 1 yellow bella. Hope you like my card. Thanks for dropping by and yall come back!

A Quiet Life

Well, camp is over, we didn't get to wet this week being it rained everyday, bugs didn't bite to hard, food was good. Ever noticed food is so good out side after a long hard day at work LOL. I did manage to make one card. Took me all week but here it is. I'd do a little each morning before leaving for work and finished it this morning. It's made with all older stamps I have had for awhile. I first stamped the squares with Block #13 from Stamp It co. Then I used block it tape to tape off the lines so when I stamped the other stamp (Small Rose Collage from Paper Inspirations) it wouldn't stamp on the lines. I then sponged different colors in each square. I stamped out the girl from Stamping Up's "A Quiet Life"Used a small amount of chalk to high light a few of the leaves and flowers. I cut her out and glued inside the center block. Added the 4 gold beads, punched out the 4 corners using Cuttlebugs corner die, matted it, added it to the card and here it is! I'm please with how it turned out and hope you like it. Thanks for dropping by and yall come back!

New License

Meet Super Bird Racecar. He's a digi image from Sunshine, http://sunshinespaperobesession.blogspot.com You have just got to go to her blog and check out all the great images her husband Rob comes up with! When I first saw this image I thought of 2 things. The day I finally got my drivers license and Richard Petty's racecar (back in the 70's). So with that in mind I came up with this. Getting that drivers license made me feel like I could take on the world, remember that feeling LOL. I colored it using KOH-I-NOOR pencils and OMS to match the blue in Petty's racecar. I punched out the corners using Sizzix corner die, with Cuttlebug's Spots and Dots I embossed the background. The words I ran off the computer. It doesn't show in the picture but I put Star Dust Stickles on the lights. Paper is from Stamping UP. I do hope you like my card. Thanks so much for dropping by and yall come back.

Hi There

This is a digi image I got free from Wendy Hall. Check her blog out at http://creationsbyloubyloo.blogspot.com
She has gorgeous cards!
I colored with KOH-I-NOOR pencils and OMS. Used Martha Stewart punch for the border and Stamping Up punch for the flowers. Used a nestabilities and a Gina K stamp for the words. I think she is cute as can be.

Good morning! It's raining here this morning with a storm moving out. Lets hope for sunshine now LOL.

This is a Flip Card . I got the kit at Sat. Stamp show. I purchased it from http://www.repeatimpressions.com/

they had such beautiful cards. Check out their web page.I also purchased several of their stamps because they build on each other which is great for this card. You can make one by starting with your card base which measures 5 1/2" x 4 1/4". next piece is 5 1/4" x 4" ; 1-strip 2" x 8 1/4" ; score this at 4 1/2" ; 5 1/8" ; 5 3/4 " ; and 6 7/8" . You will need 4 squares at 1 7/8" of white ; 4 squares at 1 1/2" and then 4 at 1 1/4" that you will stamp on. All the squares are then layered on top of each other and glue on the strip at the score lines. Beginning with the last stamp going on first and working up. After attaching all the squares to the strip, you will need one more strip measuring 4"x1". this is attached behind and at the bottom of the first square you attached. The sentiment is stamped about 1/2 way in the middle of the longest end of the long strip. To apply this you can either use scor tape (which I did ) or brads, eyelets, this part is up to you. Punch a small hole at the bottom and add ribbon, I used a Cuttlebug folder and die cut to the front of mine, and added 2 white pearls. I hope all this makes sense and you try one. They are a cute card. Check out the web site for stamp sets and other great projects that they offer. Hope you like my card, thanks for dropping by and yall come back!

Wild Flowers

I'm back! Can you believe I had to do some silly things around here like, straighten the house, some laundry, get groceries, cook, and then eat! Oh yeah, dishes. It's those silly things that keep me from playing! LOL
This is another unmounted stamp I got yesterday. I clear embossed it, rubbed Not quite Navy from SU all over it, then wiped it back off the flowers. Cut it out using another thing I got yesterday, the small deckled mega rectangle. Love those Nestabilities! Then I inked up the Cuttlebug embossing folder (Textile), ran white CS through and look what I got! Great way to make dp. Mounted them on Not Quite Navy from SU, put a ribbon around it and there it is.
Hope you like my card and thanks for dropping by. Yall come back!

White butterflies

Well, I got up this morning and started playing........ I stamped this image on white using white color box. Then I heat embossed it using white embossing powder. I rubbed blue and green ink from stamping up around the whole card. Stamped a few swirls here and there, attached a ribbon and it's finished. This is one of the unmounted stamps I got at the stamping show yesterday. Sorry I don't remember which vendor I got it from....
Hope you like my card and thanks for dropping by, yall come back.

Flowers for You

Here's another card keeping the center smooth and embossing all the way around it. Since I found out from Selma from Stamp TV how to do this it's so simple! I punch the corners out using cuttle bug die, stamped the image from a stamp I have had for ever LOL, added flower soft which by the way I love, and the card is done. Hope you like the card and thanks for dropping by, yall come back!

A Stitch In Time

I'm back! This will be my last post for today. This is a large card measuring 5 x 6 3/4. I don't usually make cards this large but sometime it just calls for a large one. I started out cutting lime , lavender and turquoise into strips. (They measure 1-1/2 x 3;1-3/4x2; 1x3; 1-3/4 x 1; 4-1/2x1-1/2; 2-1/2 x 1-3/4; 2 x 1-3/4. I trimmed the sides to even it up. Then I stamped using staz-on. Glued them onto card stock. Using my stamping up mat pack, punched holes along and then sewed them by hand with gold thread. Glued buttons here and there. Attached that to black card stock then attached that to the card. Hope you like my card, it's some thing different I haven't done in awhile. Thanks for dropping by and yall come back!

Glitter on Acetate

I'm not at work today so I'm here playing.......I made this card using acetate then glittering it. I stamped the image (Northwoods Rubber Stamps) then working form the back side applied glue to center spots, added glitter, more glue, more glitter, you get the picture. Then I stamped the sentiment fro Impression Obsession onto the card stock. After waiting a few hours for the glue to dry really good, placed the acetate on top of the card stock, used brads to hold it in place and then attached it to the card. This is time consuming but I like the final results. It takes a glue that will dry clear. Hope you can see how it glitters, of course the picture is not as good as live. Thanks for dropping by and yall come back!

Center Square

Good Morning. My card today is inspired by Selma over at Stamp TV. Go check her out, she makes the most gorgeous cards. The layout is the same, although I didn't use the very same tools, she explained how to emboss in the middle and then leaving it smooth emboss around the sides. Well I just had to try it and here it is. Doing it the way she said is so easy! Anyway, then I stamped the little butterflies in the center, punched out the corner thingies, and it's done. Hope you like my card and go visit Selma. Thanks for dropping in and yall come back.

My girl

Good morning......hope all is fine and happy. I woke up to lots and lots of fog this morning. But hopefully it will clear and be half way pretty today. I'll be taking 2 from my scrapbook club to Winston Salem NC today for a special trip, lunch and shopping at a few stamping stores. It's gonna be fun no matter what the weather is. I made this card Sunday using a print I had purchased off EBay. I used my Martha Stewart pencils and OMS to color her in. I used several pieces of scrap paper to mat and added Bella's. I added glitter to her wings but it doesn't show up very good in this picture. It was a very fast and easy card. Well, lets finish getting ready for work today. Thanks for dropping by and yall come back!

Monday, July 20, 2009

Good morning! I woke up to rain and low temps this morning. Those that know me know I don't get warm until it in the 80's LOL. This is a card I finished last night . I'm into this white on white. Kym sent me the image and I colored it in using my Martha Stewart pencils and OMS. Yes Martha Stewart and they are good! I used a bit of Glitter in the center of the flowers to make em pop a little. I used my scor-pal and outlined the print. Embossed the sides using cuttlebug folders With Love border. Outlined both pieces using Martha Stewart's yellow glitter pen and it's done. I liked the way it turned out and hope you do too. Thanks for dropping by and yall come back!

Flower

Hi again......thought I would upload another card . this is another print Kym sent me, I love flowers of any kind so yes I love it! I cut it and the mat out with the oval nestabilities, the blue I embossed with my newest folder by Cuttlebug called Textile. The brown is left over I cut 1/4 of an inch and glued down. I put micro beads in the center of the flowers after I colored them with KOH-I-NOOR pencils and OMS. Thanks for stopping by, hope you like my card and yall come back!

Irish Folding

Hello and thanks for dropping in. Been playing with the computer more today than card making. But we downloaded Skype, got our friends listed, and tried it out with 2 so far. It's gonna be a hoot! My card today is one using the Irish Fold. I cut the center out using Spellbinders round nestie and then placed the hole over the pattern. Oh yeah, upside down so I could tape the paper onto the back. I cut 5 different strips of paper 1' and folded them not quite in half. The pattern is numbered so I just kept turning it taping the paper until it was finished. In the center I placed a flower I stamped from Nina Brackett's "bug me anytime" stamp set. Then I stamped out a butterfly from Martha Stewart, glittered it and popped it on, I use more scrap paper and punched the borders out, then placed pearls down them. I hope you like my card and yall come back! A very great web site to get free patterns is www.irisfoldingifcrafters.com Go check them out!

There is 7 of us that chat and share and just bond. We're the Roses. Anyway, I was cutting this card out when she called. Sending Prayers

Came in from work today so tired.......best thing I can think of to do is make a card LOL. But then I make cards when I'm bored, hungry, happy any reason you can think of LOL. I used paper from my scrap basket, used the cuttlebug 's butterflies papillions to cut out and emboss the butter fly, used nestablities to cut out the black and green and oval, stamping up punch to cut the flower out. It's a Martha Stewart punch for the leaves. I used Melanie Muenchinger words sending prayers. I sponged positively pink from SU around the oval and butterfly. I made a wish

This was so much fun to work with. I got this print from a friend of mine today and couldn't wait to color her. I used Stencil Collection chalks and a blender pen. she worked up great! Then I added glitter to the bottom of her dress and the stars above her head. I used yellow Stickles in her wings, grown, and wand. I matted her on glitter paper and then matted that again on glitter paper. I finished off rounding the corners. I think she turned out pretty good.

Stamping on Designer Paper

With this card I used 2 of Melanie Muenchinger's stamp sets " Arranged with Love and A Year of Flowers. The challenge over at Stamp TV was to stamp on DP and then lightly color over it so you could still see the DP. I stamped the images using Color Box black and heat embossed them. I cut the flowers out and popped them up after I used KOH-I-NOOR pencils and OMS to color the leaves. I then used gold micro beads for the center of the pansies and the tips of the lilies.

Purple Flowers

I got this flower print from a friend of mine so I'm not sure of the name of it. I colored it in using KOH-I-NOOR Pencils and OMS. Then I put micro beads in the center. I cut 3 different sizes of the scalloped ovals from Spell binders and 1 oval. I punched 2 of the corners out with a corner punch from EK Success. Glued 6 pearl bellas on and finished.

The green paper is some I got out of my scrap basket so I have no idea where it's from, the white is Stamping Up.

Beauty of Life

This is an old set from Stamping Up I got at a yard sell. I don't know the name of it but it's got several pretty stamps in it. I stamped it out using Staz-On then used Stamping Up pencils and a blender pen to color it in. I added flower soft to the flowers to give it some depth. I used Cuttle bug embossing folder dots and added 3 clear bellas to finish it off. This was very fast and easy to make.

Added ribbon to finish it off.

Just For Being You

This is a card I made using Melanie Muenchinger's "Arranged with Love" I purchased it at Gina K.'s from stamp tv. You can just do so much with this stamp. I stamped it out on Pure Luxury paper with Staz-On, then used stamping up markers to color it in. There are 10 sentiments that come in the set so there is a lot to choose from. I then mounted it on black and the blue paper. Thanks for looking.
